Welcome to the website for the LA County Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Dialogue!

This process will bring together community members and stakeholders to discuss a future system of OHV parks in Los Angeles County. Recognizing the broad interests around OHV use and facilities, the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation initiated this participatory process for OHV park planning to ensure consideration of all perspectives.

Through the LA County OHV Dialogue project, planning guidelines for future OHV parks will be created. The planning guidelines will identify the characteristics of potential park locations considered appropriate by stakeholders and community members. No specific project sites will be identified, evaluated, or selected during this project. Rather, the planning guidelines will serve as a framework for the future study of potential OHV park locations by the County of Los Angeles.

An advisory committee composed of representatives of recreation, environmental, planning, and community interests is charged with identifying the planning guidelines. Input from the broader community will come from two series of public workshops. Providing information to participants is a key objective and will be accomplished with fact sheets, working papers, and this website.

Please explore our website and make sure to sign up for project announcements. Visit often, participate, and make your voice heard!
